Cheerfully Frugal Variety Idea File

As I have been expanding my recipe files to include more variety in our cheerfully frugal lifestyle, I've noticed some things that are helpful in evaluating recipes.

Frugal Recipe Checklist:
( ) does it require unusual ingredients?
( ) does it require several more spendy ingredients? *such as special meat, cheeses or spices*
( ) does it require purchasing ingredients that won't be used in other recipes during the week?
( ) will it be something my family will like?
( ) what kind of side dish does it require?
( ) does it include staple frugal ingredients that we usually have on hand?
( ) can I adapt this recipe in any way to make it fit into our grocery budget better?

If the recipe passes through that set of questions without raising alarms, it goes straight into the file. If not, then it might need to be a special occasion recipe or just simply passed over entirely.
